Biography of Martyr Alireza Mohebbi

Alireza Mohebbi
Alireza Mohebbi

Major Martyr Alireza Mohebbi was born on the twelfth of December, 1345, coinciding with the night of the twenty-third of the holy month of Ramadan. His family named him Alireza because of the simultaneous martyrdom of Imam Ali (as) and the mediation of the enlightened and blessed court of Imam Reza (as) in our country.

The martyr spent his childhood and education in Ferdows, and after being accepted in the field of literature of the National University and the field of physical education in teacher training, he preferred to be accepted in the Tehran Police College and entered this university. After graduating in 1989, he worked as an intern in Chenaran for a while and after that he worked for a while in the traffic police (Hassanabad Qom). From there, he was transferred to Yazd province and served for some time in the Ashkzar road police, then in the Mehriz road police, and for a short time in the Yazd driving guide. That precious martyr, like all martyrs, who were proud of their leader and their country and their imams, and served his country wholeheartedly. Also, due to his great interest in the Qur’an, he liked to read the Qur’an very much, and most of the time, his voice and tone were used in the morning ceremonies of the checkpoint, and everyone enjoyed it. Most of the time, he achieved the privilege of shooting with a Colt rifle. In the last days of his life, with his blessing on the Mehriz-Yazd road in the sad evening of Monday, February 25, 1999, he and his colleague were martyred by a high degree of miscreants and drug traffickers during an armed conflict. Another characteristic was that of a martyr. He is survived by a young child named Amir Mohammad.

May his memory be cherished and his path be fruitful
