Martyr “Mohammad Shakouri”, son of Ali, was born in December 1963 in the village of Sarand in the city of Ferdows.

He had a difficult childhood and faced many problems from the very beginning; Due to these problems and in order to help manage life, he could not seek knowledge and only managed to continue his education in the sixth grade. Mohammad lost his mother at the age of 12 and then returned to Ferdows to earn a living as a laborer.

When he reached the age of military service, he was sent to serve, and after completing his military service, he returned to Ferdows and started working. Some time later, he was hired by Ferdows Hospital and worked in agriculture during the hospital’s off-hours to support himself.

He, who was married in 1977, secretly distributed photos, tapes and announcements of Imam Khomeini (ra) before the revolution and participated in demonstrations and marches against the government. After the glorious victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, he also worked in the Basij and defended the achievements of the Revolution and Imam Khomeini.

With the beginning of the war imposed by the Ba’athist regime of Iraq against Iran, Mohammad, in order to fulfill his duty towards the Imam and the Revolution, after completing a 45-day military training course, joined the battlefields of the right against the wrong through the 3rd Battalion of the 17th Qom Brigade. He was sent to the operational areas on December 18, 1981, until he was finally martyred on February 14, 1981 in the Chezabeh Strait after being hit in the head by shrapnel and drank a carpenter’s cup.

The holy body of the martyr was buried in Behesht Akbar, Ferdows city, after being transferred to his birthplace.

The text of the will of Martyr Mohammad Shakouri

In the name of the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate,
greetings to the Supreme Leader of the Revolution, Imam Khomeini, greetings to the martyred nation of Iran
Now that I am going to the battlefields of truth against falsehood, I would like to inform the martyred nation of Iran about a few points. I became convinced that the soldiers of Islam and those who go to the battlefields are behind the soldiers of Imam Hussein (AS), and I am proud that I have such happiness to go to the battlefields of truth against falsehood, and if I am martyred, I am proud. I recommend to my wife to raise my children as much as possible to study revolutionary Islamic science and education, and I ask my sons Abbas, Ruh O and my daughter Effat to follow the path of Islam and never deviate from the path of Islam. My sisters and brothers, I strongly urge them not to make any moves that make the hearts of the enemies happy.

Mohammad Shakouri
